काम के पुकार में जब चल पड़ा है तू
आग पेट की कब बुझेगी
सोच में डूबा है तू
प्रचंड गर्मी है तू तपा है
साँय-साँय लू चल रही
टपटप पसीना चू रहा
क्लांत शरीर प्यासा गला
आग पेट की जल रही
नसीहतों का पुलिंदा
मजदूरी में मिला
कल फिर आना 'चेंज' नहीं है
मन को चेंज कर गया
नहीं बुझी तब आग पेट की
अंजुली भर नल के पानी से
गिर पड़ा वह उसी जगह पर
मजदूरी की आस में
बंद मुट्ठी अब खुल चुकी थी
निर्निमेष आँखें घूर-घूरकर पूछ रही थीं ,
क्या तुमने कल देखा है ?
